Musical Theatre Senior

Age 10+

24 weeks 

Saturday 11:30am-1:00pm

Starting September 28th, 2024

 

Course Duration: 24 Weeks
Class Length: 90 minutes per week
Age Group: 10-17 years old (specific age group based on needs)

A minimum of 10 students are required for this class to run.

 

Program Overview: The Musical Theatre Senior program provides an in-depth exploration of musical theatre, combining acting, singing, and dancing skills over a 24-week period. The program culminates in two public performances, offering students a comprehensive experience from initial rehearsals to final showcases.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Develop Comprehensive Skills: Build strong acting, vocal, and dance skills through structured classes and rehearsals.

  • Create a Unified Production: Collaborate to produce a musical theatre production.

  • Showcase: Perform in one or two community shows, demonstrating the skills and teamwork developed throughout the program.

  • The Musical Theatre Senior program offers a thorough and enriching experience in musical theatre, guiding students through every stage of production and culminating in community performances that highlight their growth and achievements.

This class will teach acting, singing, and dance technique with an emphasis on the storytelling aspect of musical theatre. Students will work their vocal and dance technique through the lens of expressing intention and emotion, shaping not just singer-dancers but true triple-threat performers. Students will explore the musical theatre repertoire, learning about different composers and styles. The first session culminates in an open class performance featuring the creation of their own works. The second session culminates in an on-stage performance.

 

If you enroll a sibling, you will receive a 5% discount on the second student. 

Please note that some productions can generate show fees. These fees range from $75 - $125 depending on the production.
